Pachal Jharana
A waterfall pouring off a cliff in the Karnali gorge country of Kalikot, which gives its name to the local municipality.
Kalikot is a district of steep slopes plunging into the Karnali river, crossed by the Karnali Highway on its way to Jumla. Pachal Jharana is its best-known natural sight: a tall fall of white water down a forested cliff, especially strong in and after the monsoon.
The surrounding area, including the Panchadewal temples of Raskot, sees very few visitors. It makes a refreshing stop on the long drive between Surkhet and Jumla.
