Baglung Kalika
A goddess temple in a sacred forest in Baglung bazaar, one of western Nepal's major shrines.
Baglung Kalika Bhagawati stands in a grove of trees at the edge of Baglung bazaar, on a terrace high above the Kali Gandaki. Tradition links its founding with the kings of Parbat, and it draws large crowds at Dashain and Chaite Dashain.
Baglung is also known as the 'district of suspension bridges', many built with local labour. The town is a gateway to Dhorpatan and the western hills.
