Bhedetar
A cool hill station above Dharan with a viewpoint over the Terai and a glimpse of Kanchenjunga.
Bhedetar is a small roadside settlement on the Dharan–Dhankuta highway at about 1,400 m, where the air is suddenly cool after the heat of the plains. Charles Point viewpoint looks south over Dharan and the endless flat Terai, and north to the hills and, on clear days, Kanchenjunga.
Restaurants serve fresh food and tea on terraces, and a skywalk tower and view towers have been built. It is a favourite weekend escape for people from Itahari and Biratnagar.
