Tatopani hot springs

Natural hot pools beside the Kali Gandaki, a favourite soak for trekkers coming down from Jomsom or Poon Hill.
Tatopani means 'hot water'. Beside the Kali Gandaki, springs feed a pair of simple concrete pools where trekkers and locals soak tired legs, with the river roaring past and orange and banana trees all around.
The village is a junction: the trail climbs east to Ghorepani and Poon Hill, while the Kali Gandaki road leads north to Jomsom. The lower altitude means a warm climate even in winter.
