Kanyam Tea Garden
Wave upon wave of tea bushes on the Mechi Highway, the most photographed tea garden in Nepal.
Kanyam lies on the road between Fikkal and Ilam, where the Kanyam Tea Estate spreads over gentle slopes shaded by tall trees. It is a favourite picnic and photo stop, especially in the soft morning light.
Nearby Fikkal is a busy market and the turn-off for Antu Danda. Many visitors combine the three in a single trip through eastern Ilam.
