Karnali Bridge, Chisapani

A single-tower suspension bridge where Nepal's longest river leaves the hills, famous for fresh river fish.
At Chisapani the Karnali bursts out of its mountain gorge onto the plains. The Karnali Bridge, completed in 1993, carries the East–West Highway over the river with a distinctive single-pylon cable-stayed design.
Riverside restaurants serve fish caught in the Karnali, and the bridge is the end point of multi-day rafting trips down the river from the hills. Bardiya National Park lies just to the east.
