Tikapur Park
One of Nepal's largest public parks, beside the Karnali in a planned Terai town, with gardens, lawns and a lake.
Tikapur is a planned town in southern Kailali on the bank of the Karnali. Its large park, first laid out as a royal garden, has shady lawns, flower beds, a small lake and river views, and is a favourite picnic place for families from across the far west.
Tikapur is also a centre of Tharu culture, with the Sakhiya and Maghi dances performed at festivals.
