Ramaroshan
Twelve lakes and eighteen meadows in the hills of Achham — the 'Switzerland of the far west'.
Ramaroshan is an upland area in eastern Achham famous for its 12 lakes (daha) and 18 meadows (patan) set among forest at around 2,000–2,500 m. Jingale Daha and Kailash Daha are among the best known, and the meadows fill with flowers after the monsoon.
Local government has promoted it as a new destination, and homestays are opening. It is still well off the beaten track; access is by rough road and trail from Mangalsen or Sanfebagar.
