Sailung
Rolling grassy hills of a hundred small summits, with a 180-degree Himalayan view and rhododendron in spring.
Sailung is a high, grassy upland on the border of Ramechhap and Dolakha, rising to about 3,146 m. Its name is said to mean 'a hundred hills', and the landscape of rounded knolls, chortens and prayer flags feels unlike anywhere else in the middle hills.
From the top the view runs from Langtang and Jugal to Gaurishankar, Numbur and the Everest range. It is a place of pilgrimage for Tamang and Hindu communities, and a newly popular weekend trek with homestays below.
