Ghalegaun and Bhujung

Ghalegaun is named after the Ghale kings who once ruled Lamjung from here. It became one of Nepal's first organised community homestay villages, where families host guests, serve local food and perform Gurung songs and dances such as the ghatu.
Nearby Bhujung, one of the largest Gurung villages in Nepal, spreads over a hillside of terraces. Both have fine views of the Himalaya, and trails connect them in a day.
