Kalinchowk Bhagawati

Kalinchowk Bhagawati is a shrine of the goddess on a rocky peak above Charikot, surrounded by tridents and bells. Pilgrims have long walked up through the forest; since 2018 a cable car from Kuri village carries visitors most of the way.

In winter the top is covered in snow and fills with domestic tourists enjoying it, often for the first time. On clear days the view stretches along Gaurishankar, Rolwaling and the Jugal Himal. It gets very cold; dress warmly.
