Resunga
A forested hilltop above Tamghas, sacred as the hermitage of the sage Kashyapa, with views and cool pine air.
Resunga rises above Tamghas, the headquarters of Gulmi, to about 2,340 m. Its forest is protected, and on top stands a temple associated with the sage Kashyapa; Buddhists also link it with the earlier Buddha Kashyapa. Pilgrims gather here during Janai Purnima and other festivals.
Gulmi is known for its organic coffee, grown on hillsides around Tamghas; ask to visit a farm or processing centre.
