Devghat
A holy confluence of the Kali Gandaki and Trishuli, where elderly devotees come to spend their last years.
At Devghat the Kali Gandaki and the Trishuli meet to form the Narayani. It is one of Nepal's holiest confluences, and many elderly Hindus retire to its ashrams to live out their days by the river. Temples and hermitages line the forested banks, linked by a suspension bridge.
The great fair is at Makar Sankranti in January, when tens of thousands bathe at the confluence. It lies just north of Bharatpur and Narayangadh.
