International Mountain Museum
Exhibits on the Himalaya's peaks, climbers, geology and mountain peoples, with a practice climbing wall.
Opened in 2004 by the Nepal Mountaineering Association, the museum tells the story of the great peaks and the expeditions to climb them, with gear from famous ascents, displays on Himalayan geology, flora and fauna, and on the cultures of the mountain peoples.
Outside is a model of Manaslu and a climbing wall. It is a good rainy-day visit and helps put treks in context.
